Beauty in a person is not just about their outward appearance
Without knowing a person, we tend to judge them solely based on their outward appearance. We pay attention to facial features, physique, clothing, neatness, voice, and other external characteristics. Subsequently, we draw conclusions about whether this person is attractive to us or not. This is normal, as we lack other information. However, it is important to note that appearance doesn’t make anyone genuinely beautiful.
Firstly, the attractiveness of one’s outward appearance is subjective. Each individual perceives it in their own way. Moreover, the same person may evaluate their own appearance differently at different times.
Secondly, external beauty holds little value without positive character traits, wisdom, intelligence, and adequacy. Someone who may appear ordinary on the outside can become highly attractive when we discover their good human qualities. Conversely, a person with an attractive outward appearance can repel others through negative behavior and indiscretions.
However, this does not mean that individuals who neglect their health and pay no attention to their outward appearance can be attractive solely due to their “inner world.” Indifference toward one’s appearance does not make a person appealing.
Therefore, it is important to distinguish between visual beauty and genuine, holistic beauty 🙂
