Should I seek love or will it find me on its own?

In one of the articles, I wrote about the different types of relationships and their purpose for people. This is important because if a person doesn’t understand why they need relationships, they probably don’t need them.

What to do when you understand why relationships are important and have a desire for them, but haven’t met the right partner for a long time? Focus on yourself, your personal development, and self-contentment. Not to please someone else, but for your own growth and to be pleasing to yourself. This approach will lead to you attracting attention. In other words, there’s no need to actively seek a partner; eliminate the act of ‘searching.’ When you’re among people, don’t fixate on how well-dressed or good-looking you are. Don’t try to stand out or appear exceptionally bright just to capture the attention of someone you’re interested in. Such behavior, when in ‘search mode,’ depletes your individuality and diminishes your societal value.

Furthermore, it’s important to note that purposeful searching unintentionally raises the expectations for a future partner. This happens because searching consumes one’s emotional resources, and consequently, there’s a desire for compensation upon achieving the goal. More often than not, this desire remains unfulfilled. It’s logical that a person who is not well-acquainted wouldn’t be inclined to invest a lot of attention just because they’ve been “found” 🙂

Don’t wait for relationships, don’t actively seek them out. Be your authentic self, love and respect yourself. Honor your values and what warms your heart. Don’t neglect your interests and preferences. This is what will make you interesting to those around you. However, when you meet someone who piques your interest, don’t miss the opportunity to connect. Create opportunities for getting to know each other. Engage in conversations, socialize, spend time with friends, and so on. Wishing you success and happiness 😉
